It's a miracle ... two more cards today!

Just shows how working for an income sucks the life out of you (lol).  Guess I'm fully rested and my creative juices are flowing ...  my cup is not at empty - just yet!

My first card cracks me up - I'm calling it my 'Adele' card.  I seriously have such an odd sense of humour.  And card number two is, needless to say, a wedding card (no sh*t Sherlock) ... not that I have a wedding to attend in near future - but I'm ready when I do get an invite.  I must admit, the scan does not do it justice - the cardstock is white and silver (not gray) and the embossing is much more pronounced 'as seen in the hand' than in the scan.

I’m Alive! It’s been a very long while.

Well ... what can I say, other than I’m ashamed!  Family, work, fatigue, losing my creative mojo, etc, etc, etc (*excuses - excuses*) ... but I’m back - though not entirely with a vengeance.  But I will still randomly post the occasional card that I create.

Also ... seeing as a few catalogues are huge in file size and way too big to email - I thought it would be easier to have a link on my Blog - so, you are just a click away from viewing and/or saving the catalogue/s.  Hence, in part, my return.

At the moment I am currently on school holidays and I am slowing gaining some momentum in card making - I have made two so far, which is an achievement for me these days.  One I have CASED, which is very slightly altered and the other is of my own creation (made for my son-in-law).

Shoe Box Contribution

Tomorrow I'm having three fellow SU Demonstrators over for a SU ‘gathering’. Before becoming a SU Demonstrator, Sue (our esteemed SU Leader), Marion, Joan and I were all good friends - and - still are. This is our second gathering since February ...  to share a card (to put on our boards), eat nibblies, do a bit of 'Show & Tell', eat some more nibblies, share ideas, eat even more nibblies, etc, etc, etc ... and ... have a few good laughs too!

So ... this is my contribution (below). I won’t fib, it is mostly CASEd - but I did do a little selective editing and a small addition. I’ve not been my 'PB' the past few days - re: crappy head cold (*sniff*) hence the CASEd card - not normally my way of doing things.

Stamp Set/s Used: The Open Sea (image), Best Dad Ever (sentiment). Card Stock: Night of Navy, Sarah Sand, Whisper White. Ink: Night of Navy, Sarah Sand. Technique Used (does not show up on scan ... sadly): Clear Block Shadow Stamping on Whisper White Card Stock with Sarah Sand Classic Ink - stamped off on waste paper prior to stamping on white card stock. Other: Scallop Trim Border Punch, Silver Brad, Simply Scored Scoring Tool.

Anyone for a Ride?

Fathers Day - Card A
SU Classic Pick Ups S/Set, SU Teeny Tiny Sentiments S/Set, Non SU BG Stamp

I've uploaded a couple more ‘Blast from the Past’ cards I made not so long ago with two retired stamp sets (though the Motorcycle stamp was sold as a single stamp).  These are stamps I’ve borrowed from a friend ... how I wish I had them in my own collection.

Male Birthday - Card B
SU Motorcycle Stamp, SU Canvas BG Stamp

We didn’t have the Classic Pickups set here in Australia when Stampin’ Up arrived on our shores and the Motorcycle one, well ... I didn’t appreciate till I turned to the ‘Bright Side’ (ie: Card Making) - lol.  I was more into ATC’s at the time it was released here.

Valentine (Love) Cards 2013

While I’m still messing about working out my Blog ‘look’ - I’ve included two cards I made for this years Valentines Day, which I categorise as ‘ Love Cards’ -  seeing as one should not wait for one day a year to express ones love for another!  I made these cards to sell at work, needless to say, they sold well!

These are the past/retired Stampin’ Up stamp sets I used:
Card A:  A Happy Heart S/Set, Sanded Background Stamp
Card B:  A Happy Heart S/Set, For a Friend S/Set

About My Blog

My name is Eva and I am new to being a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator - though a long time consumer of Stampin’ Up products.

I describe my style as ‘Clean & Simple’ and aim to share some of my card creations with those who are interested and who like a bit of ‘Show and Tell’ - so to speak.

Apart from cards created with current catalogues products I will also include Stampin’ Up products from the past ... just because!  Nice to dig out a retired product and breathe life back into it again.

I hope you enjoy what you see and find some form of inspiration.  Please feel free to let me know your ‘thoughts’ - good, bad or otherwise.

Eva   :-)
